The Rivers of Justice Film Festival is a new annual event in Three Rivers, Michigan, highlighting films exploring social justice themes. World Fare, a fair trade store in Three Rivers, started the Festival in 2009 with a Fair Trade Film Festival that featured two short films and a feature length documentary. In 2010, we changed the name to Rivers of Justice Film Festival to allow for a broader conversation going forward. In 2010, we highlighted the importance of story and looked specifically at the story of Ethiopian coffee growers. Last year, we highlighted food justice issues, including a specific focus on local agriculture.
